Errant Blood

About this book

As Independent Scottish booksellers, we write all of our descriptions personally, we hope you enjoy this one.

In a rain soaked winter in the Scottish Highlands, Duncul Castle sits above a village that keeps its own counsel. Eamon Ansgar, a war veteran and the reluctant young laird, finds himself drawn into what the place would rather leave buried.

As he begins to pull at loose threads, a plot comes into view, tangled in people trafficking, big pharma, the green energy boom, crypto archaeology and the Latvian mafia. The work asks him to move through unfamiliar networks and local silences, where money and influence travel easily and the truth is made slippery.

Errant Blood is a literary crime thriller, the first in a series set in and around the Highland village of Duncul, where the weather closes in and the stakes keep rising.
