Delivery Information & Policy

At Paper Thistle, we know how important it is for your books and gifts to arrive quickly, safely, and in great condition. This page explains how our delivery works, the services we use, and what to do if something doesn’t go quite as expected.


Where We Deliver

We currently deliver to addresses within mainland Great Britain only. Unfortunately, we do not deliver to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, or international destinations at this time.


Delivery Options & Charges

We aim to keep our delivery costs fair and transparent:

  • Standard Delivery – £2.99
    Available for all orders. Delivery is charged per order, regardless of quantity.

  • Free Delivery for Plus Members
    Active Paper Thistle Plus members enjoy free UK delivery on every order as part of their membership benefits.


Delivery Timescales

  • Order Processing: We process all orders within 48 hours of receipt (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).

  • Estimated Delivery: Once dispatched, parcels usually arrive within 3–5 working days.

  • Busy Periods: During peak times such as Christmas or seasonal sales, delivery times may be slightly longer, so we recommend ordering early to avoid disappointment.

Delivery Partners

To ensure reliable and cost-effective delivery, we work with two trusted couriers:

  • Evri
  • Royal Mail

Your order may be delivered by either service depending on the size, weight, and destination. Both couriers provide strong coverage across mainland GB.


Tracking Your Delivery

Once your order has been dispatched, you can track its progress directly from your account dashboard on our website. Tracking details will also be included in your dispatch confirmation email where available.


Packaging

We take care to package your books and products securely. Wherever possible, we use eco-friendly packaging that protects your items while reducing environmental impact.


If Your Parcel Doesn’t Arrive

If your order has not arrived within 7 working days of dispatch:

  1. Log in to your account dashboard to check tracking updates.

  2. Look for a calling card or notification from the courier in case delivery was attempted while you were out.

  3. If you still cannot locate your parcel, please contact our support team at help@paperthistle.co.uk with your order number, and we will investigate promptly.


Damaged or Missing Items

Although we pack every order with care, sometimes things can go wrong in transit. If your parcel arrives damaged or with items missing:

  • Please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

  • Provide your order number and, if possible, a photo of the damage or packaging.

  • We will work with you to arrange a suitable solution, whether that’s a replacement, refund, or store credit.


Incorrect Delivery Information

Please ensure your delivery address details are correct at checkout. If an order is returned to us due to incorrect or incomplete address details, we may need to charge an additional delivery fee before resending your order.


Important Notes

  • Delivery charges and offers are subject to change, but any updates will always be clearly displayed at checkout.

  • Free delivery applies only to active Plus Members. Standard orders are charged at £2.99 per delivery.

  • Orders may arrive in more than one parcel if they contain multiple or bulky items.
