Marianne Taylor holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Sheffield and worked in publishing before turning to natural history writing. She is now a naturalist, photographer, and illustrator, and the author of more than thirty books on wildlife and the natural world, including The Way of the Hare, The Gull Next Door, How Birds Work, and Dragonflight. She is also the author of Discovering the Animal Kingdom for Arcturus.
