Sammy has had a bad week, the kind that leaves more blank space than memory. What he can recall comes in scraps he would rather not touch. His wallet is gone, along with his new shoes. He has been arrested, beaten by the police, and dumped back out on the street.
Then he realises he has gone blind.
He remembers a row with his girlfriend, but she seems to have disappeared. There was something else too, a bit of business with an old mate, though even that will not hold steady in his head. With the days broken and his body changed, Sammy is left trying to find a way to move through the city and through his own confusion.
Things are already bad, and the trouble is only beginning.
