Connor is twenty four, brilliant, broken, and out of control. As the swaggering frontman of The Ossians, he is carrying a band on the brink of a major record deal, and carrying himself like someone with nothing left to lose.
They set out on a two week winter tour across Scotland’s cities and hinterlands, a last attempt to find fame, purpose, and some steadier version of themselves. The journey is meant to be a proving ground. Instead it becomes a spiral. Nights in seedy bars bleed into snowbound towns, and each stop pushes the band further into a surreal, chaotic odyssey.
Along the way there are seagull massacres, botched drug deals, a mysterious stalker, radioactive beaches, bomb testing ranges, epileptic fits, riotous Russian submariners, deadly storms, epiphanies, beatings and random shootings. The tour keeps moving, even as the people on it begin to come apart.
