Allan Gaw studied medicine at University of Glasgow and trained as a pathologist, working across the NHS and universities in the UK and US. After early retirement, he turned fully to writing, publishing acclaimed non-fiction ranging from medical textbooks to articles on space travel, thalidomide, and major medico-legal cases.
